Hi, I’m Larissa, the creator and chef behind Kitchen of Planty. My journey into plant-based cooking began long before I knew it would become my life’s passion.

At thirteen, I decided to go vegetarian because I couldn’t bear the thought of animals suffering. Back then, I wasn’t a fan of the meat substitutes available and didn’t know much about balanced nutrition, so my meals mostly consisted of extra cheese or eggs. It wasn’t long before I started struggling with deficiencies and various ailments.

Everything changed when I moved out on my own and began experimenting in the kitchen. It was here that I developed not just a taste for cooking but a love for the creativity it inspired. My travels watered those seeds, introducing me to vibrant flavors and culinary traditions from around the world. Before I knew it, I was harvesting ideas and creating dishes in a huge proverbial vegetable garden—a space where I could truly express myself.

I learned to listen closely to my body and give it what it needs, using as much flavor, variety, and joy as possible. For me, food became a celebration—a way to nourish myself holistically while enjoying every bite. This philosophy is now at the heart of what I do.

Through years in restaurant kitchens and on film sets, I honed my practical skills. But it was when I began cooking for spiritual festivals, retreats, and events that everything truly clicked. I find it so rewarding to be part of group processes—helping people connect, transform, and find inspiration through food. It’s magical to see how nourishing, plant-based meals can bring people together, ground their energy, and add something special to their journey.

Today, I specialize in creating vibrant, plant-based dishes for weddings, retreats, festivals, and corporate events. Every meal I prepare is bursting with flavor, color, and variety, using organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. My goal is simple: to craft unforgettable menus that nourish the body, delight the senses, and respect the planet.
